The
Metropolitan Community Church of Manchester is a Jesus-centred,
rainbow-rooted and well-led church which seeks to be full of loving,
welcoming and equipping disciples. God raised us up from the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, and trangender communities - the "rainbow" communities -
to proclaim the good news that Jesus saves and changes
lives.
Welcome to
our church. We are part of an international denomination which is the
largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered organisation in the world
with around 42,000 members in over 250 congregations across 24
countries.
In
Manchester we meet in the Church of Saint John Chrysostom,
about 2 miles south of the city centre along Princess
Street/Upper Brook Street/Anson Road at its junction with Oxford
Place and Daisy Bank Road, and we offer a warm welcome to our
services and meetings. Our main service is held on Sunday
afternoons at 4.00pm.

Our Sunday
service is designed to be celebrative and to appeal to folk from a
range of different church backgrounds as well as to those for whom
spirituality is new. We are a friendly church and after worship -
which usually lasts just one hour - we invite everyone to join us
for refreshments and fellowship.
